Did you notice the change in my post's title? Amy Day has named her Etsy shop "Nail-Venturous Lacquers!" YAY! She has given an estimated opening date of March 19! I-for one-am totally excited to see her do well. I never mentioned this, because I was so amped to show off her polishes, but Amy was easy to work with and incredibly sweet! We also found out we had something in common-we were both in the military! I don't think she quite realizes just how talented she is; but she will certainly find out when she opens shop. :o) Now on to my next Nail-venturous Lacquer polish (it's a top coat!) Rustic Remains...
What you see here is my ring and index fingers with two coats of Rustic Remains over no base coat. On my ring and middle finger is a base coat of black with Rustic Remains over it. Can you say, "OMG?!" Click the picture to see it larger and you will truly see the beautiful copper flakes and the green somewhat holographic shimmer in a clear base. This was REALLY hard to capture on my camera, but in the sun, you can see it over any base coat.
Now, I applied Rustic Remains over Zoya Penny the first time around. I thought it would be the perfect base, but I was really wrong. Matching the base coat to the flakes, just made Rustic Remains fade into the background. If you click on the pictures, you can still see the green shimmer though!
